Distinct rings, diffuse- to semi-ring-porous, vessels solitary vessel diameter 20-40µm vessel frequency 150-200 mm2, simple perforations, fibers thick-walled, with large pits, parenchyma apotracheal and scanty paratracheal, rays 2-3 seriate, heterocellular with prostrate central and square or upright marginal cells with few prismatic crystals in rays.
