Without rings, vessels solitary, mostly with, rarely with scalariform simple perforations (few bars), scalariform intervessel pits, fibers storied, thin-to thick-walled, with small slit-like pits, parenchyma paratracheal, around the whole vessel, rays >10 cells, vascular bundle form remaining, all ray cells upright, thin-walled. Pith surrounded by a wavy belt of fibers. With medullary vascular bundles and medullary secretory canals.
