Distinct tangential (annual?) layers of parenchyma and sieve tubes. Sieve tubes collapsed in older rings. Without sclerenchyma. Large ray dilatations. Large crystal druses in ray dilatations and small irregular crystals in tangential parenchyma cells. Crystal druses in the pith.
