Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, earlywood vessels solitary, simple perforations, vessel diameter 30-50µm, with helical thickenings, fibers with large pits, without septate fibers, axial parenchyma rare or apotracheal, rays 1-2 cells in width heterocellular with 1-3 rows of upright cells, crystals absent.
