Distinct rings, ring-porous to semi-ring-porous, vessels mostly solitary, vessels thick-walled, simple perforations, round intervessel pits, vessel diameter 30-50µm, fibers thick-walled, fiber groups in tangential band, parenchyma vasicentric and confluent, distinct terminal, ray width 2-3 cells, homocellular, prostrate cells, ray cells unlignified, crystals absent. Often ring shake.
