The structure is very variabe. Distinct rings, semi-ring-porous, vessels solitary and in small groups arranged in tangential and diagonal patterns, simple perforations, vessel diameter 30 – 40µm, round and slightly scalariform intervessel pits, fibers thick-walled fiber, parenchyma vasicentric and apotracheal rays with 1-3 cells in width, heterocellular with many square and upright cells.
