Distinct and indistinct rings, diffuse porous, vessels solitary, simple perforation, vessel diameter 15-30 µm, scalariform intervessel pits, fibers absent, parenchyma pervasive, rays absent and multi-seriate, homocellular with square and upright cells. Vascular bundles remaining. Rays split tangentially (ring shake).
