Distinct rings, semi-ring-porous, vessels in isolated and in dendritic groups, vessel diameter 30 – 50mµ, simple perforations, fibers with small pits, fibers thick-walled, parenchyma paratracheal, rays 3-5 seriate, rays unlignified, homogeneous with many square and upright cells.

Distinct tangentially arranged rectangular blocks of thick-walled sclerenchyma between unlignified rays.Without crystals.
