Distinct annual rings, diffuse-porous, thick-walled vessels solitary in short radial multipels, vessel diameter 80–160mµ, simple perforations, fibers with small pits, fibers thin to thick-walled, parenchyma paratracheal and in uniseriate terminal layers, rays uniseriate, homogeneous with prostrate cells, with a few prismatic crystals in rays.
