Xylem

Distinct annual rings, diffuse-porous, thick-walled vessels solitary in short radial multipels, vessel diameter 80–250mµ, simple perforations, fibers with small pits, fibers thick-walled, parenchyma paratracheal and in uni- and multi-seriate terminal layers, rays mainly uniseriate rarely biseriate, homogeneous with square and upright cells, with a few prismatic crystals in rays.

Groups of sieve tubes and parenchyma in tangential layers, tangentially arranged bands of thick-walled sclerenchyma. With prismatic crystals.
