Distinct rings, ring porous, often >200 µm in diameter, earlywood vessels solitary or in groups. Latewood vessels solitary simple perforations, with helical thickenings, fibers thin to thick-walled with large pits, parenchyma apotracheal, ray width 2 cells, homocellular with prostrate cells, rays storied.
