Only one ring, vessels solitary and in short radial multiples, often arranged in tangential layers, simple perforations, round intervessel pits, intervessel pits alternate and opposite, vessel diameter 50-90 µm, parenchyma scanty paratracheal and in tangential layers, ray width 2-4 cells, homocellular with square and upright cells, with crystals druses in rays.
