Distinct rings, diffuse-porous, vessels solitary, perforations scalariform with 6-10 bars, intervessel pits scalariform, ray-vessel pits with enlarged horizontal apertures, with helical thickenings, vessel diameter 15-30 µm, vessel frequency 400 - 700 mm2, fibers with large pits, fibers thin-walled, with septate fibers, parenchyma not to recognize, rays uniseriate, homocellular with upright cells and 3-8 seriate homocellular with prostrate and upright cells, sometimes with sheet cells,
