Two rings, very different structure in the first and the second ring. Here is described the second ring. The first ring structure is described in Glaucium flavum 1. Vessels in groups, vessel diameter 80-140µm, vessel frequency 200-300 mm2, simple perforations, fibers thin-walled, with small pits, parenchyma paratracheal, ray width 3-7 cells, often with sheet cells, rays heterogeneous with 2-4 marginal square cells, without crystals
