Distinct rings, ring-porous to semi-ring porous, vessels in radial groups, simple perforations, fine spiral thickenings, earlywood vessel diameter 50 - 100µm, fibers thin to thick-walled, parenchyma absent or not to recognize, ray width 4-10 cell, all ray cells prostrate, ray height >1mm, prismatic crystals in rays.
