Xylem

Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels in groups, simple perforations, fine spiral thickenings, earlywood vessel diameter 50 - 100µm, fibers thin to thick-walled, few fiber tracheids, rare apotracheal and paratracheal parenchyma, ray width 4-10 cell, all ray cells prostrate, ray height >1mm, crystals absent.

Tangential layers of collapsed sieve cells, irregular groups of sclerenchymatic groups (sometimes missing), annual? tangential cracks, distinct ray dilatations, groups of sclereids in cortex, uniform cortex. With tangential rows of prismatic crystals.
