Distinct rings, diffuse porous, vessels solitary, often with slightly angular circumference, scalariform perforations with >10bars, intervessel pits round and scalariform (gash-like), fibers thin to thick-walled, with distinctly bordered, round pits, parenchyma rare, apotracheal and paratracheal, ray width 2-3 cells , heterocellular with 2-3 square or upright cells. With few prismatic crystals.

Phloem with sieve cells, round groups and tangential bands of sclerenchyma. Cortex with a continuous band of sclerenchyma. With prismatic crystals and big druses. Pith with lactifers. Many distinct layes of phelle.istinct
