Xylem

Without rings, vessels solitary, mostly with, rarely with scalariform simple perforations (few bars), scalariform intervessel pits, fibers storied, thin-to thick-walled, with small slit-like pits, parenchyma paratracheal, around the whole vessel, rays >10 cells, vascular bundle form remaining, all ray cells upright, thin-walled. Pith surrounded by a wavy belt of fibers. With medullary vascular bundles and medullary secretory canals.

Phloem

Half-moon like phloem groups, with sclerenchyma cells at the outside of the radial fiber-vessel strips, parenchyma and cortex cells filled with crystal sand. Distinct belt of smaller cells which delimitate phloem and cortex.
