Distinct rings, diffuse porous, vessels solitary, vessel diameter 15-20µm vessel frequency 200-300 mm2, scalariform perforations with 15 - 30 bars, fibers thick-walled, with small round pits, apotracheal parenchyma, ray width 1-2 cells, rays homocellular with several extremely high marginal cells.

Phloem

Small groups of sieve cells between parenchyma in the phloem, small groups of sclereids in tangential rows in the cortex. Few crystal druses.
