Distinct rings, ring porous, vessels solitary and in small groups, simple perforations, intervessel pits round, fibers thin to thick-walled, paratracheal and marginal parenchyma, ray width >10 cells, homocellular with procumbent cells. Storied parenchyma and fibers, crystal absent.
