Indistinct rings, vessels solitary, vessel diameter 150-230mµ, vessels thick walled (2mµ), simple perforation at the axial ends, round intervessel pitting, fibers thin to thick-walled, fibers with bordered pits with slit-like apertures, parenchyma apotracheal, paratracheal, vascular bundle form remaining, rays very large, locally with sheet cells, ray cells unlignified with square cells. Crystals absent.

Phloem

Phloem with small sieve cells and large parenchyma cells. Distinct ray dilations. Cortex with fragments of an earlier sclerenchymatic belt. Fiber tracheids in the cortexVery thick phellem.
