Dendrochronological Database

This relational tree ring database contains tree ring data as well as their documentation and spatial information. A database browser allows to search for all attribute data and a GIS viewer serves to perform spatial queries on the database.

Microscopic Wood Anatomy of Central European species

This web-based identification key is useful to identify wood species with online high resolution cross- and length sections from trunks and twigs. It is valuable for showing both the variability of wood as well as documenting what many find an unpleasant fact, namely that many tree species share similar wood anatomy.

Xylem Database

The XylemDB provides an anatomical description and classification of the xylem and phloem of herbs, shrubs and trees. Anatomical pictures of about 600 species are presented.

Welche Waldpflanze kommt auf welchem Boden vor? Ein neues Dienstleistungsprodukt der Forschungsanstalt WSL gibt Antworten darauf. Die Datenbank umfasst gegenwärtig 670 Pflanzenarten. Sie finden Angaben zu Bodenmorphologie, Säurezustand und Nährstoffen.
