Database

All data are stored in the Oracle database „Fungus“, the national data centre for fungi in Switzerland, located at the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL in Birmensdorf/ZH.

Origin of data

The records have various sources, such as single records from voluntary collaborators, records from random sampling at localities of the Swiss forest inventory or reports from literature.

One record includes: date, location (name of the locality, national coordinates, approximate precision, altitude), name of collector and identifier, voucher, habitat type, substrate type, host species, identification literature.

Call for collaboration

We take all fungal records from Switzerland, where the identification is approved.
