The Bibliography of Dendrochronology is based on a large reprint collection maintained by Henri D. Grissino-Mayer at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, USA. In addition, approximately 3300 documents recorded in the Bibliography of Dendrochronology are archived at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL in Birmensdorf, Switzerland.

The majority of these documents are available from your library (journal articles, electronic documents or by interlibrary loan). Please contact your local library staff. If they cannot provide the requested documents, the staff of WSL Library will send you copies of documents archived at WSL if they meet one of the following criteria:

articles published after 1950 in periodicals for which WSL has a subscription
book sections from books published after 1950 and available from WSL collection
articles and book sections published prior to 1950.

For dissertat abstracts will be sent.

Cost

0-20 pages: free of charge
21-30 pages: 20 Swiss Francs (approx. 16 Euros or 15 USD)
for further 10 pages: 10 Swiss Francs.

These prices include package and postage.

How shall I proceed?

Please send an email to the WSL Library staff with your name and full postal address as well as the ID-number(s) of the document(s) you wish to receive. Only ID-numbers of documents actually available at WSL are listed with database search results, therefore do not request a document if no ID-number is displayed in the "search results" page. You will receive a paper copy (no pdf file) with your invoice.
