The WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF is an interdisciplinary research and service centre located in Davos. With 130 employees, it is an important division of WSL. Its scientists conduct research on snow, the atmosphere, natural hazards, permafrost, and mountain ecological systems. They also develop innovative products that transform their findings into practical applications. SLF provides a wide range of services and products for specialists in industry, government an the economic sector, as well as for the general public, including all winter sports enthusiasts.
