For interested persons the WSL makes available some short sequences of debris flow events, which were recorded at the locations of the automated debris-flow observation stations in the Swiss Alps.
The use of the video(s) is limited to education purposes in the context of training meetings or lectures. Copying and/or sharing the video recordings with third parties, especially the news or print media, for any purpose is forbidden. Individual pictures, picture sequences or the entire video may be used in publications only with agreement of the data owner and with reference to the original data source(s) (WSL, Swiss Federal Research Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape, Birmensdorf, and © Swiss television / Schweizer Fernsehen for the sequences for Dorfbach, Randa also).

*Individual pictures and picture sequences from the video recordings may be used in publications only with agreement of the data owner and with reference to the original data source(s). This contract does not imply automatic agreement to owner agreement with publication requests. The Swiss Federal Research Institute provides the data user with copies of the following video recordings (basic price):

  • Most important sequences of the debris-flow events (particularly frontal part) in Illgraben (Kt. VS) from 3.6.2000, 28.6.2000, and 24.7.2000. (© WSL).
  • Most important sequences of debris-flow events (particularly frontal part) of the Schipfenbach (Kt. UR) from 6.8.2000. (© WSL.)
  • Most important sequences of the debris-flow events (particularly frontal part) in the Dorfbach Randa (Kt. VS) from 20.6.1995. (© Schweizer Fernsehen).
