Landscape study with Historical Photographs through Monoplotting - Workshop

The Fondazione Archivio Fotografico Roberto Donetta (ArchivioDonetta.ch), the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL (wsl.ch) and the Institute of Earth Sciences of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland SUPSI (supsi.ch/ist) held an International workshop “Landscape study with Historical Photographs through Monoplotting” on 27-28 June 2014 at the Casa Rotonda in Corzoneso (Switzerland).
The workshop was devoted to landscape relevant topics such as land use change, forest evolution, urbanization, glacier dynamics, natural hazards (avalanches, landslides, etc.), restoring of traditional landscapes, etc.
Participants had the the opportunity to present and discuss aspects related to the use of historical photographs in the study of the landscape dynamics, and test the WSL Monoplotting Tool developed at WSL (Saturday 28th June).
Among the participants were researchers, professionals and enthusiasts of diffeent environmental disciplines and backgrounds.
