• "Reforestation of Windthrow Areas in the Ural, Aspects of Forest Management and Ecology", with Stanislav A. Mochalov, Ekaterinburg, Russia, Project description

• "Promotion of Forest and Wood Sciences in the Ural, in Siberia and in the Carpathians to Mitigate the Effects of Climate Changes on Long-term Forest Development - Strengthening of an International Network" (SCOPES projectof the Swiss National Science Foundation). Together with partners from Ekaterinburg (Ural State Forest Engineering University, The Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology), Krasnoyarsk (Sukachev Institute of Forest SB RAS), Moscow (Geobotany, Biological Faculty, Moscow State University), all Russia, Lviv, Ukraine (Ukrainian State University of Forestry and Wood Technology), and Zürich, Switzerland (Environmental Sciences, ETHZ).
