Swiss Experiment at SLF

The Swiss Experiment (SwissEx) is an initiative of the Competence Centre Environment and sustainability (CCES), headed by WSL/SLF. It has been created to provide a platform for large scale sensor network deployment and information retrieval and exploitation.

My major role at SLF is to develop methods to combine external weather forecasts with internal data for a variety of customers.

  • Using COSMO weather forecast data for 36 hr warning
  • Comparing high resolution observations with model data
