Present Activities

My research currently focuses on perceived landscape quality. I am interested in people's perceptions, needs and expectations regarding landscape quality and landscape development, in particular in the living environment. Furthermore, I investigate social aspects in landscape development processes, for example in the context of park projects. A third area of research, which has re-emerged recently, is how people process complex information, in particular with regard to risks in the context of natural hazards.

Current Research Projects:

- Knowledge-based approach to build a culture of risk prevention in Europe (KULTURisk) >>>

- Waldmonitoring Soziokulturell (WaMos 2) >>>

- Die Akzeptanz der Akzeptanz von Grossschutzgebieten >>>

- Landschaftsbeobachtung Schweiz >>>

Former WSL Research Projects:

- Evaluation des Potentials der MAP D-PHASE Visualisierungsplattform zur Verbesserung von Situationsbeurteilungen durch ihre Nutzer >>>

- Einstellungen der Bevölkerung zum Projekt "Regionaler Naturpark Pfyn-Finges" >>>

- Raumkonzept Schweiz: Zielvorgaben für die Landschaftsentwicklung >>>
