Research interests and recent projects

My research interests focus on the interactions between people and landscape as well as nature. Thus, the latest research projects, in which I have been actively involved as project manager, supervisor and/or researcher, are:

Influencing use conflicts in outdoor areas by experimental interventions, (COST Action E33 "Forrest Recreation“)
Social Value of Urban Nature: social science part of the project BiodiverCity of the National Research Program "Sustainable Development of the Built Environment" (NRP 54)
Conflicting Expectations and Objectives Regarding the Development of Alpine Landscapes, (NRP-48 "Landscapes and habitats in the Alps")
BioScene - Scenarios for reconciling biodiversity conservation with declining agricultural use in the mountains of Europe (EU-FP5)
Acceptance of the return of predators
