- Postdoctoral fellow & consultant at Oak Ridge National Laboratory,
USA and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (1985-1988)
- Master and PhD studies Univ. Zürich (1979-1985)
Research Interest
My research concentrates on:
- the evaluation of historic and present landscape patterns and processes
- landscape models designed for simulating potential future landscape development
- the interactions between landscape change and ecological as well as socio-economical properties.
- mapping landscape services at medium and large scales
I am actively involved in several national projects on landscape development and restoration, e.g. the search for biosphere reserves or river restoration sites.
