Research interest

My research interests focused on molecular biology and ecology of plant pathogens&pests. Particularly, I'm interested in population and environmental genetics/genomics of the plant pathogens&pests under current effect of climate change and significant intensification of the globalization processes (global trades and world-wide human mobility). I would be also happy to investigate molecular mechanisms of plant-pathogen interactions, both in forward (pathogen infection) and reverse (plant defense) approach.

However, I am not limited only by Phytopathology field - any interesting project in molecular ecology could motivate me for fruitful collaboration.

Currently, I work on invasion genetics of the Asian longhorned beetle Anoplophora glabripennis (ALB) in Switzerland.

Education and professional experience:

2016 - present: Post Doc at WSL. Project: "Invasion genetics of the Asian longhorned beetle Anoplophora glabripennis (ALB) in Switzerland"

2014 - 2016: Post Doc at WSL. Project: "Population genetics of Armillaria cepistipes" (supervised by Dr. S. Prospero and Dr. D. Rigling)

2014 - 2014: Research Assistant at the Department of Ecology, Universität Kassel. Project: "Biodiversity and biotechnology study of corticioid fungi from tropical and Hessian forest ecosystems"

2006 - 2012: PhD and Scientific Assistant at the Biological faculty of Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine

1998- 2003: Bachelor and Master of Science in “Ecology”, National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use
