Remote Sensing for forest applications
Swiss National Forest Inventory

I am specifically interested in detecting the state-of-the art and modeling changes (natural and human-made) of landscapes, especially of forests, using high-resolution remotely sensed data: airborne digital sensors, airborne laser scanning, scanned aerial images etc. I also have a strong interest in estimating forest parameters (area, species, timber volume etc.) on stand or national level, modeling in the forestry sector using sample plots, and correlation of remote sensing data with biodiversity, i.e. in wetlands.
