Fernsehaufnahmen WSL in Walenstadt

The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL aims at communicating actively by publishing media releases and news, annual reports, series and books. In order to stay in touch with scientists, practitioners, the media and the public, the institute organizes events, seminars and conferences.

We will be glad to assist the media in their research and to arrange interviews with our in-house experts. Both media representatives and freelancers are very welcome to visit our research sites and study plots all over the country.

Sihlwald: Buchenkrankheit weniger gefährlich als befürchtet

Der im vergangenen Januar im Wildnispark Zürich Sihlwald beobachtete Schleimfluss an mehreren Buchen ist nicht auf den gefährlichen und meldepflichtigen Erreger Phytophthora ramorum zurückzuführen. Biologen der WSL wiesen zwei weniger gefährlich Erreger nach, die seit langem in Schweizer Wäldern vorkommen.
