Nature reserve Greifensee
Recovery and nature protection
The Greifensee is considered a gem of the Glatttal area. The lake and its environment are a popular destination for recreation.
Around the lake there are fenlands of national importance. The different
sedge
and Moor Grass meadows are especially valuable. Until today, about 400 plant species have been identified in these areas. The
reed beds form important habitats in which, for example, 165 different species of birds can be observed.
