Main activities

June 1994-March 1999:

Management of a bibliographic database on forest ecology, forest health, and climate change within the Section "Forest ecosystems and ecological risks". This database of over 25,000 references is no longer updated but is still available on site for the WSL staff, as are the hard copies of 14,000 of these documents.

Current actitivites:

Design and management of the Web pages of the Section "Forest ecosystems and ecological risks" (together with Flurin Sutter).
Development of a terminological database in German, English and French and of a terminology clearing-house in domains related to our section's research.
Updates of our section's publication database (currently managed with Oracle by Peter Jakob) searchable on the Internet.
Coordination of the IUFRO Working Group on "Trends in forest terminology" since January 1996.

From July 2004 to June 2005 my husband Matthias Dobbertin and I will be on sabbatical leave at the Center for the Assessment and Monitoring of Forest and Environmental Resources (CAMFER) at UC Berkeley, California.
