Research interest

My research interest is plant biogeography, macroecology, and functional ecology. In my PhD project, I am investigating understand the impact of geological and climate processes on plant biodiversity patterns in the Hengduan Mts (HDM) – an exceptional biodiversity hotspot outside the tropics. In my PhD, I use species distribution models based on compiled occurrence data, to develop high resolution biodiversity maps. Taking advantage of this technique, I will be able to capture the variation of geological and climate processes within the HDM to better understand biodiversity maintenance mechanisms.
