Research interest

In general, I'm interested in the field of molecular ecology and evolution. Particularly my research experience includes population genetics, phylogeny, ecology and mitogenomics of wooden pathogens and pests. I would be happy to join an interesting project on species diversity and evolution, or research project which links genomics and ecology.

Currently, I’m finishing the project on invasion genetics and maternal lineages delineation from mitochondrial genomes of the wooden pest, Asian long-horned beetle, Anoplophora glabripennis (ALB) in Switzerland.

Also, I’m looking for a research-associated or PostDoc position and would like to continue my research career.


Education and professional experience:

2019 - present: Research Assistant at WSL. Project: "Reconstructing the mitochondrial genome of the invasive pest Anoplophora glabripennis with high-throughput sequencing for DNA barcoding"

2016 - 2017: Post Doc at WSL. Project: "Invasion genetics of the Asian longhorned beetle Anoplophora glabripennis (ALB) in Switzerland"

2014 - 2016: Post Doc at WSL. Project: "Population genetics of Armillaria cepistipes" (supervised by Dr. S. Prospero and Dr. D. Rigling)

2014 - 2014: Research Assistant at the Department of Ecology, Universität Kassel. Project: "Biodiversity and biotechnology study of corticioid fungi from tropical and Hessian forest ecosystems"

2006 - 2012: PhD and Scientific Assistant at the Biological faculty of Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine
