Radiocarbon and the changing carbon cycle in Anthropocene landscapes

Myriad fates await carbon fixed by the biosphere into organic matter. Elucidating these fates, and their sensitivity to anthropogenic change, is crucial to understand future impacts on the carbon cycle. Radiocarbon provides unique constraints on dynamics of the carbon cycle, and this presentation will highlight new insights gleaned from radiocarbon analysis at molecular to river basin scales.
