Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels solitary and often in diagonal patterns, simple perforations, vessel diameter 40-60µm, with round intervessel pits, vestured pits, thick-walled fibers, parenchyma vasicentric,unlignified ray 2-6 cells in width, heterocellular with 3to5 upright cells, prismatic crystals.

Ray dilatations, tangentially arranged round groups of sclereids, with many prismatic crystals.
