Indistinct annual rings and many growth zones, vessels solitary and in small radial multiples groups, vessel diameter 60 – 90 mm vessel frequency 40-80 mm2, simple perforations, with gum deposits, with small pits, apotracheal parenchyma in tangential layers and paratracheal vasicentric, ray width 2-3 cells, rays homocellular with prostrate cells, with prismatic crystals in axial chambers.
