Distinct rings, ring porous to semi-ring-porous, vessels mostly solitary vessels thick-walled, simple perforations, scalariform intervessel pits, vessel diameter 40-70µm, parenchyma predominantly paratracheal, sometimes confluent, ray width 3-7 cells, homocellular, prostrate cells, ray cells unlignified, crystals absent.
