Distinct rings, ring porous, often >200 µm in diameter, earlywood vessels solitary or in short radial multipels, simple perforations, thin-walled tylosis, fibers thin to thick-walled, parenchyma paratracheal and marginal, ray width 3-6 cells, heterocellular with central prostrate and a few marginal square or upright cells, with prismatic crystals in ray cells

Tangential layers of small sieve cells and big, round, parenchyma cells, sclereids absent, many prismatic crystals, with axial laticifers.
