Xylem

Distinct rings, diffuse to semi-ring porous, 50-70 µm in diameter, vessels solitary. Latewood vessels solitary, simple perforations, with thick helical thickenings, fibers thick-walled with large pits, parenchyma apotracheal, rays uniseriate and multiseriate (6-12 cells in width), heterocellular with central prostrate and a few marginal square and upright cells.
