Only one ring, vessels predominatly solitary, vessel diameter 150-250µm, simple perforation, intervessel pits opposite, round, fibers with small pits and septate fibers, parenchyma paratracheal. Apotracheal diffuse in aggregates and partially pervasive, ray width >10 seriate, unlignified, all ray cells upright, with sheet cells, phloem groups in the pith (collateral open vascular bundle).
