Only one ring, vessels 50 - 100 µm in diameter, vessels in radial groups, simple perforations, inter-vascular pits round in alternating position or scalariform, thin-walled tylosis, fibers thin-to thick-walled, with tension wood, parenchyma paratracheal, ray width 1-3 cells, heterocellular with central prostrate and a few marginal square or upright cells, with rectangular prismatic crystals in ray cells and a few crystal druses.

Phloem

Sclereids in tangential layers and radial strips, with ray dilatations, with crystal druses and many prismatic crystals. Laticifers are absent in the present material.
