Distinct rings, diffuse to semi-ring porous, vessels solitary vessel diameter 20-40µm vessel frequency 200-300 mm2, simple perforations, fibers thick-walled, with large pits, parenchyma apotracheal and scanty paratracheal, rays uniseriate and 3-6 seriate, with sheet cells , rays homocellular with square or upright cells, large rays unlignified, with crystal druses.

With small groups of sieve-tubes, mostly isolated thick-walled sclerenchyma cells (fibers). With crystal druses.
