Distinct rings, diffuse porous, earlywood vessels solitary and in short radial multipels, simple perforations, earlywood vessel diameter 50-80µm, with helical thickenings, fibers with small pits, with tension wood, axial parenchyma rare or paratracheal, rays 2-3 (4) seriate, homocellular with prostrate cells, with a few prismatic crystals in rays.

Phloem

Distinct tangential layers of parenchyma and sieve tubes and sclerenchyma. Sieve tubes collapsed in older rings. Many prismatic crystals.
