Subalpine, alpine, medium sites
Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels mostly solitary, scalariform vessel pits, tangential fiber bands in the early wood, small thick walled vessels between very thin walled parenchyma in the latewood, rayless.
All cells very thin walled, Indistinct tangential layers of crushed sieve cell groups, no ray dilatations.
